Hey, so..
So, it's been a while since I've regularly used this place, largely it's been because it's shy of impossible to use on mobile, and I do most of my web surfing on my phone these days. A number of reasons for that, but most of it is convenience. I took down pretty much all my original stuff because I didn't want to deal with potential art theft through a site that I was never on anymore, plus a couple of suspicious things added to the TOS (which could have been nothing, but why risk it). My original stuff is precious to me. So I left gift art, commissions, and fanart up.
Well, now that DeviantFart decided to jump the AI bandwagon and has literally thrown 20+ years worth of millions of users both alive and dead's art under the AI algorithmic bus without our consent, I'm forced to delete EVERYTHING now. Bye. The "Eclipse" or whatever its called theme they did already made it insanely difficult to even browse unless you're on a computer, and I was already angry about that. Making AI generated images is fun and all, but calling it "art" while stealing the real, actual work of millions of people who put pencil to paper (or stylus to tablet, or brush to canvas, what have you) is the shittiest thing an art site can do to its users. While forcing us to participate unless we opt-out. Which we have to do, one old post at a time.
Fuck you, DeviantArt. This is worse than the elitist bullshit that Elfwood pulled decades ago that brought me here in the first place. By a long shot.
I'm going to delete everything. If you want to continue to see my art, come find me on Tumblr. All my other connection links are there on my top post, but that's where I primarily am. I'm not sure if I'll have the energy to repost everything there. But it's all going.
